When we released WHMCS Secure Credentials (WSC) we did so after WHMCS Global Services managed to get themselves hacked by releasing insecure software at the back-end of 2018. It became apparent that WHMCS Global Services had been storing their users WHMCS admin login details in plain view inside their WHMCS install. This lead to a number of their customers being hacked themselves, this is not a company that takes their customers security seriously. WSC was aimed directly at hosts in the hope that this would stop companies like WHMCS Global Services from keeping their customers login information in plain view. That was the reason why the form had fixed fields but, we understand that there was a lot of users that wanted more functionality. We listened to your comments and we have included most of the features that you where requesting in WSC Pro. The old version of WSC , V1.3 is now available for the whole WHMCS community to download for free and anyone who had this version prior to 11/07/2019 is being given, as promised WSC Pro for free.
So, what’s new in WSC Pro?
Variable Text Fields
WSC pro brings the headline feature of variable text fields, The fields on the form which customers fill out to share information with you can now be renamed to suit your exact needs.
You can hide fields that are no longer needed and you can change the field type from text box to text area or even password. Back-end, in the WHMCS admin area the fields are changed in the ticket view to match the fields front-end.
Encrypted Ticket Status
Once a customer submits credentials or updates credentials the ticket status will be set to “Encrypted” this way you can distinguish which tickets have had credentials added or updated by simply glancing at the ticket list.
Automatically Request Credentials
You can now automatically take the customer to the credentials form when they submit a ticket. Enabled in the module settings section this feature waits for 5 seconds after a ticket has been submitted then takes the user to the credentials form.
The WSC Pro module also has Support For PHP 7.3 and Font Awesome 5.
